CPP Extrusion

Cast PP Film is an un-oriented polypropylene film, produced by a flat extrusion process. It features increased temperature resistance, high clarity, and glossiness, compared with typical cast or blown polyethylene films.

Salina runs its own CPP lines which produce tailor made CPP films. We use our films in-house for our conversion process. This gives us a unique advantage in terms of availability, accountability and quality control over converters who source their films externally and thus are dependent on third parties.

Our tailor made CPP films are designed to match specific customers' needs and specifications, and are being used in a wide range of packaging and lamination applications.

Main properties of our films:

  • Process and recipe give excellent heat sealability, while keeping the strength and environmentally friendly qualities of polypropylene.
  • Excellent optical properties.
  • Low coefficient of friction.
  • Excellent printability and machinability.
  • Low seal initiation temperature.
  • Suitable for single ply and lamination applications.

Standard gauges are 25-70μ.
